Am amazed how people can sometimes be so selfish and self-centered... I don't think they feel that that's what they're being... but it hurts me...

Yes, most of us are sometimes like that..We are just so self-absorbed that we forget the people around us that love us and that we love. And we hurt them...Sorry to hear it happened to you, Me, hope you're ok!
Take it Easy “Me”, people are selfish when they seek the good for themselves .. when it’s the easiest way to match their emotions and needs
Don’t expect much from ppl to not be hit with hard facts
Don't worry Me, ppl who are able to endure others' pains , feel them, sympathize with them , are the ppl who feel the most happy in the end .
Selfishness won't lead to a straight happy life.

Me: I know exactly what you are talking about... But we have to yield to the fact that not all people are as good as we want them to be. :)
